This exhibition presents the project “Developing Tools for Conserving the Plant Diversity of the Transcaucasus”. The Botanic Garden and Botanical Museum Berlin-Dahlem and the leading botanical institutions from the South Caucasus countries have established the “Caucasus Plant Biodiversity Initiative” to strengthen scientific capacities and collaboration. The research focuses on three typical Caucasian habitat types: the Arcto-Tertiary forests, the xerophytic woodlands, and the high mountain ecosystems. Visitors are introduced to the on-going research activities in the region.
